Starting Time: 20:00
Volkotronica is an avant-garde audiovisual [AV] performance that fuses live mix from modern and traditional music genres, analog audio input from the greek bagpipe Tsampouna that all-together trigger real-time rendered visuals of simulated Mediterranean landscapes and seascapes that have been crafted with 3D-capturing techniques such as Neural Radiance Fields [NeRF]. This AI-powered technology enables the reconstruction of real-world seascapes, landscapes, and ancient ruins into highly detailed, immersive virtual environments. The project reimagines the future “folk music” by merging current electronic music genres like Techno, Drum ‘n’ Bass with traditional Greek island folk music and live tsampouna (a traditional Greek bagpipe) performance.
