Vassilina
Greek avant-pop artist and producer VASSIŁINA, who calls both Athens and London home, has established herself as a prominent figure in the avant-pop scene of Athens. She is known for weaving sonic tales that balance pop aesthetics with dark electronic influences. Collaborating with artists such as Die Arkitekt, Bonebrokk, Kadebostany, TOTALWERK, and others, VASSIŁINA continues to push boundaries and redefine the avant-pop and dark-pop genres. Her live performances, characterized by dramatic polyphonic vocals and strong industrial beats, showcase her commanding stage presence. In May 2021, she released her debut LP “Fragments” through Inner Ear Records. Following its release, she headlined various shows in the UK, Germany, and Greece, including performances at The Shacklewell Arms (London) and festivals such as Pride Athens, Athens Epidaurus Festival, In-Edit, So Alive Showcase (Bulgaria), and In-Orbit organized by SNFCC. She was nominated for the HEMI Awards in 2023. Since 2023, she has been on tour with Kadebostany and Pan Pan, performing at major festivals and venues across Europe. In April 2024, she released her second LP “Femmeland,” which has been featured in magazines such as Metal, Kaltblut, Wonderland, Vogue Germany, Dazed Monthly, and more. “Femmeland” shares her personal journey of discovering her true self, drawing strength and support from other femininities. More than just an album, it is an immersive experience akin to a personal diary, reflecting the artist’s evolution and resilience. VASSIŁINA invites listeners to join her on this musical exploration of self-discovery, empowerment, and the celebration of the strength found in embracing one’s true self.
