Elena Dimopoulou is a New Media Artist from Greece working with multiply mediums. She has participated in several museum, gallery exhibitions in all over the world and her work has been showcased and selected in big contemporary art festivals and bienalle such as the Wrong Bienalle , Documenta14, Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Greek National Opera, Athens Digital Festival, European Art Center & Chicago Athenaum, Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival, Platforms Art Fair, IFPA5 Drama International Performance Forum Art, Video Festival Miden, INSISTRUM etc.With over ten years of experience in the creative fields,including gaming, cinema, and virtual production,she serves as an Ambassador for Women in Games. She was also a finalist in the Epic Games Bootcamp Animation scholarship. Holding a Master of Arts in Digital Arts from the Athens School of Fine Arts, and a BA at Fine Arts(visual arts,painting,sculpture,printmakingetc) from the same school she specializes in utilizing TouchDesigner,VR, and New Media to craft immersive and interactive experiences. As a mentor for Women On Top, she provides invaluable guidance and support, connecting with mentees to foster their growth and development. She is the first Greek woman Unreal Authorized Instructor at Epic Games. In her role with the Women Creators Program at Epic Games, she collaborated with a diverse team of artists and developers, focusing on designing and producing games that highlight the talents and creativity of women in the industry. As a member of the Official Directory Developers of Cesium, she employs advanced 3D geospatial visualization technologies to create realistic and engaging game environments.Her recognition as a Grand Receiver from Cesium underscores her contributions to the field. Leveraging her expertise in digital arts, animation, and storytelling, she creates captivating narratives and characters, which have led to significant accolades including being a finalist at the Rome Prisma Film Awards and winning a prestigious biennale school competition. She is also the Founder and Creative Director of Collective Apnea Art Gathering contemporary art exhibition-an annual visual arts project located in Symi, Dodecanese. The exhibition aims to function as a living organism that isconstantly expanding and at the same time promoting contemporary artistic creation. The exhibition is open to any artistic practice (painting, sculpture, engraving,photography, installation, coding art,3D art, video art, performance, lectures,etc.)and encourages experimental approaches in a creative context.
