Sofía Arbaiza Martínez
Sofía Arbaiza Martínez is a Brooklyn-based Ecuadorian filmmaker, animator, and visual development artist recently graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Digital Art and 2D Animation, and a Minor in Literature and Writing. Born and raised in Quito by an immigrant Cuban and Peruvian family, she often explores her heritage and identity in her work. Her work involves extensive research, maximalist design, and emotional color palettes, inspired by her passion for Art Direction. She is currently an invited artist nominated for the Princess Grace Award 2024 and received an International merit-based Scholarship at Pratt.
