Sweet Troubles

Three siblings sneak out to go trick or treating in 1970s Northern Ireland. All the while avoiding the dangers of Belfast streets during the Troubles and keeping each other safe while they dash from house to house.

Miya-Rois Gaffney
Miya-Rois Gaffney was born in Belfast, and raised in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland. Specialising in layout and background artwork, her interests lie in stories that cover historical and cultural themes, especially more personal stories which includes Sweet Troubles, a narrative that is based off her parent’s experiences. She has now graduated with a degree in Animation Production (BA) from Arts University Bournemouth.
