A rare planetary alignment has occurred, and the deep sea needs your help to lift Mother Ocean from her depression spiral and complete the water ritual. In Oceanarium, you’ll learn to astral project and meditate with consciousness warriors while exploring a surreal underwater world filled with alien-like marine creatures. The game visually explores the connection between human health and Earth’s well-being, linking cellular biology, deep space, and the ocean. By uniting planets in this simulated sea, we reflect on our sense of purpose. At a time when coral reefs are bleaching at alarming rates and billions of pounds of plastic enter the ocean annually, raising awareness of marine destruction is crucial. Oceanarium debuted at the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Video Games: Design/Play/Disrupt exhibit and was later featured in MassArt’s Game Changers exhibit, reinforcing video games as a powerful medium for artistic and poetic expression.
