Equilinox is a relaxing nature simulation game that allows players to create and nurture their own living ecosystems. Think of it like a city-builder, but instead of cities, you build and manage ecosystems! Players place plants and animals into the world, each with its own life cycle, behavior, and needs. Creating a balanced habitat with sufficient resources ensures that species thrive. Healthy, happy animals generate points, which can be spent on introducing new wildlife or evolving existing species to unlock more exotic plants and animals.

Development on Equilinox began in October 2015 by Karl Wimble, a solo indie game developer from England. What started as a small side project grew into a full-time endeavor, thanks to community funding via Patreon. Over the course of three years, Karl documented the entire development process through weekly devlog videos, which were followed by over 100,000 subscribers on his ThinMatrix YouTube channel.
