Aqua Dome is a collaborative animated dome-film and artwork created at Towson University outside Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Created by over 150 collaborators across disciplines and age groups, Aqua Dome combines mixed-media stop motion animation and kaleidoscopic collage with an immersive soundscape in four movements.
Lynn Tomlinson
Lynn Tomlinson is an internationally acclaimed director and animator. She is a professor at Towson University near Baltimore, Maryland, USA and her research includes expanded animation and fulldome immersive media. She has directed award-winning student collaborations, including Ignite!, winner of the Prix D’Originalité at SATFest in Montreal. Her own short films have screened at MoMA, The National Gallery, Pompidou Center, and international festivals including Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Ottawa International Animation Festival. She received the 2022 Baker Award for Film/Video, and the 2021 Edison Innovation Award, and was Animator in Residence at the 2023 Society for Animation Studies conference, where she led a fulldome animation workshop and curated an international fulldome animation screening,
