A Vocal Landscape

A Vocal Landscape is a hyperrealistic VR film that explores the strange anatomy of a conversation. The spectator is taken on a dreamlike journey through a snippet of a late night conversation between two people. The spectator is present with them in an ever-changing room where hyperrealistic visuals highlight the imaginative journey each of them take as well as the unspoken interaction between them – opening a fresh, nuanced way of looking at the uneven paths of communication.

Anne Jeppesen : Co-Director | Co-Producer | Sound Producer
Anne Jeppesen is a Copenhagen-based creator with a focus on immersive experiences for radio, museums and XR media. She co-directed & co-produced the VR-film “A Vocal Landscape” which premiered in Venice Immersive 2023. Presented in 2024 in several international festivals incl. NewImages, FIVARS & Siggraph, it won “Best VR” award at the PFCAT, “Best XR Theater in Show” at Siggraph Asia & “Best Volumetric Capture” at Stereopsia. Anne’s main arena is working with the plasticity of the audio space and she is always seeking out new ways of combining the cosmic vastness with micro details from our everyday world.

Omid Zarei : Co-Director | Producer | Lead Developer
Omid Zarei is an XR producer & real-time developer on the quest to explore alternative ways of immersive storytelling. He co-directed & produced the VR-Film “A Vocal Landscape” which premiered in Venice Immersive 2023. Presented in several international festivals incl. NewImages, FIVARS & Siggraph, it won “Best VR” award at the PFCAT, “Best XR Theater in Show” at Siggraph Asia & “Best Volumetric Capture” at Stereopsia. Coming from a Film background, Omid has produced & led immersive projects that push the envelope in storytelling— stories that step into the unknown aimed at an ever evolving audience, all the while rooted in the familiar.
