Through the eyes of Bianca, the daughter of João and Daniele, we will follow a family’s deep emotional journey when Daniele suffers a miscarriage. It will be 40 days of darkness inside their house until they embrace both life and death so they can move on. ’40 Days Without the Sun’ is a short animated film done entirely on Quill. The story unfolds as the environment where we are immersed transforms itself the same way the emotions flow. Shapes, movement and colours that happen in an artistic style that resembles children’s art send us to a magic world similar to a book. A powerful music and original soundtrack gives us a special touch to follow this story of grief, acceptance and above all, a story about love.
